To jumpstart your day, we will make a stop at a Tomoca Coffee shop for a unique taste of Italian-style coffee and macchiato made with Ethiopian arabica beans

You'll begin with a trip to Entoto Mountain, where you will see the vast parts of Addis Ababa from an impressive viewpoint at 3,200 meters altitude.

You'll explore the historic Entoto Church and Museum, as well as Emperor Menelik’s Palace

You'll soon make a short stop at the Shiromeda Textile Market, where you can socialize with the world’s famous traditional textile craftsmen. You will also have an opportunity to shop for souvenirs

You will tour the National Museum, which houses the famous 3.2 million year skeleton Lucy as well as important paleontological, historical, and cultural artifacts.

Lunch, with flexible dietary requirements, will be served at the first hotel in Ethiopia, Taitu Hotel.

We will demonstrate step by step Ethiopia's unique coffee ceremony. 

An Ethiopian coffee ceremony is a traditional ritual where freshly roasted coffee beans are ground by hand, brewed in a clay pot called a "jebena," and served in small cups to guests in multiple rounds, signifying hospitality and community, with the act of roasting and serving the coffee considered an art form, often accompanied by the aroma of incense and considered a key social event in Ethiopian culture; the ceremony typically includes three rounds of coffee, with the first being the strongest and the last considered a blessing

As you visit Merkato's spice market, you will put your bargaining skills to test with the savvy spice dealers. 

Located in Addis Ababa, Merkato is the largest open-air market in Africa covering several square kilometers. It is known for its vibrant atmosphere, colorful displays, and mouthwatering food stalls.
